Both churchs have parish schools. When we moved in, we shopped around and we were impressed by the acting principal at the small school and given the special needs of our son, we decided to get involved in the smaller parish. Wind forward a few years. The parishes were "sort of" merged. The acting principal was replaced by permanent principal who we have been able to work with. The benefits of a small school were fading, there was no permanent priest any more (the small church just became an offshoot of the larger). My daughter started school at the larger parish this year and we have been estatic with the way the school works and the integration of the church into the school (unlike the smaller school/parish). We are moving our commitments bit by bit to the main church....
