Animals and souls.

My understanding is that the church teaches that there are different types of souls. The soul of a human is different to the soul of an animal.

How does this answer the question of animals in heaven? Well it doesn’t. My parents always used the logic that anything good on earth is a reflection of something in heaven. Given the wonderful part that animals play in our lives, it seems likely that they would also exist in heaven….
