Final Song: Johnny Nicholas – I’m from Texas
Charlie
Hi guys,
After David practically begged people to go to your website, I’m happy to say I’ve checked it out and you’ve done a really nice job, very nicely designed pages and content. I do want to say that I thoroughly enjoy the podcast, you guys never fail to entertain me. Regarding the gauntlet being thrown, I can tell you my husband and I changed our dietary habits completely about 9 months ago when he was diagnosed with diabetes. He has since lost about 40 pounds and I lost about 5. The 5 pounds was weight I had chalked up to getting older and figured I would have to live with, but it kind of disappeared after we changed the way we eat. The common mantra you are going to hear in all those books is to eliminate white flour and white sugar, that’s going to be hard with all the baking going on in your house, but start looking for low starch alternatives and you’ll be amazed what is out there. Good luck with the weight loss, sounds like you guys have a head start since you don’t eat a lot of processed foods. Another book I can recommend is Anticancer by David Servan Schreiber, if you’re into nutrition at all it’s a really interesting read. So, thanks you guys for sharing your lives on the podcast and the good work you’re doing here.
David
Thanks, Charlie. I’ll check the book out.
